APPLETON, Wis. — Kaylen Sims scored a pair of second-half goals Sunday to lead the Illinois College women’s soccer team to a 4-0 win over Lawrence University on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
Illinois College (5-3-0, 2-1-0 MWC) led 2-0 when Sims scored in rapid succession early in the second half. Sims scored at 47:09 and again at 47:50 to give the Lady Blues a 4-0 lead. Ally Kjellander picked up a goal and an assist for Illinois College in the first half.
Charlotte Crofton made four saves to pick up the shutout for the Lady Blues. Kori Looker made 10 saves for the Vikings (1-7-0, 0-2-0).
Due to multiple injuries the Vikings were forced to play with only nine players in the field.
