APPLETON, Wis. — The Lawrence University volleyball team opens the home portion of its schedule on Wednesday by hosting a pair of highly touted opponents. UW-Stevens Point enters Wednesday’s match at Alexander Gymnasium ranked 15th, and Oshkosh is just out of the top 25.

Fast Fact: The Vikings scored their first goals of the season in a 3-0 win over Coe at the Associated College of the Midwest Showcase this past Sunday. One just isn’t enough for Jack Blodgett, who scored a pair of goals in a match for the second time in his career. Senior goalkeeper Joe Krivit recorded career shutout No. 14 Sunday against Coe. He’s four shy of tying the career record of 18 held by Lawrence Hall of Famer Dan Dreyfus.

Fast Fact: The Vikings had successful swing through the Land of Lincoln with three wins last weekend in Illinois. Lawrence defeated Knox 5-4 and then swept Monmouth 9-0 and Illinois College 9-0. Alicia Lex put together a pair of golden sets in a 6-0, 6-0 singles win at Monmouth. Lex won all 48 points played in the match.
