The Estelle Ray Reid Scholarship in Library Science is meant to assist a student, past or present, planning to pursue the graduate study of Library Science. To apply, or for more information, please see the Estelle Ray Reid page. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 2, 2010.
The new Mudd Gallery show is de face value by Caroline Parry. Parry describes her work as a “series of abstract self-portraits embracing lack of control as a means to effectively depict multiplicity of identity.”
The show runs through February 22. Don’t miss it.

The Mudd has put together a list of resources and information about Abigail Disney and her film “Pray the Devil Back to Hell”. Ms. Disney will deliver her address this Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 11:10 a.m. in the Lawrence Memorial Chapel. This convocation is free and open to the public.
The new Mudd Gallery show, “Down Will Come Baby, Cradle and All,” by artists Lauren Shorofsky, Yexue Li, and Allison Slowiak, runs Monday, January 25 through Sunday, January 31. The show includes photography and a sculpture installation about the lasting impact of child abuse.
Gallery opening reception Friday, January 8th from 5pm-7pm. Refreshments will be served. Annie’s show runs through January 17th. We hope to see you there.
Welcome to Winter Term!
A few notes to help you get started:
The Mudd Library (and the rest of campus) will be closed from Thursday, December 24 through Saturday, January 2.
The Library will be open on Sunday, January 3, from 11am-5pm and we go back to regular hours on Monday, January 4.
What does this mean for you?
Building Closed
As part of the University’s Winter Shutdown program, the Library will be closed during this period. There won’t be anyone working inside.
Remote Access to Online Resources
Online resources (LUCIA, databases, e-journals) will remain available. You will need to use the proxy server to access these resources.
Research Assistance
Reference librarians will not be available and the email Ask A Librarian service will not be staffed. Questions submitted will be answered when we re-open on January 4th.

Starting Monday, November 30 and continuing through Wednesday, December 23, the Library will be open Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm. We’re closed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during December. We will also be closed Thursday, December 24-Saturday, January 2.
