Following what will undoubtedly be a busy Trivia Weekend, we turn our attention to Career Services and some of the upcoming opportunities for you to consider Life After Lawrence Now. Starting Wednesday, January 28, and running through the weekend, a number of alumni and friends will be on campus to help you think about your career. Lawrence Scholars in Business: Consumer Products, Briggs 420
- What is Consumer Products as an industry?
- How do products get into the hands of consumers?
- What are the challenges & trends in the Consumer Products industry?
- How can your liberal arts education be a valuable tool in the Consumer Products industry?
Session will include small group discussions (break-outs) which students will rotate through:
- Marketing and Sales
- Supply Chain and Research & Development
- Corporate Functions (Finance, IT, Legal, etc.)
Noon – 1 p.m.
Lunch in Parrish & Perille for those who wish to network and continue the conversations from the LSB panel.
1:30 – 3 p.m.
Lawrence Scholars in Law, Briggs 420
Meet and mingle with alumni who are using their law degrees both in and out of a traditional law firm, including an alumna who is currently pursuing her J.D. at Marquette and one who is applying to law school after working for two years.
Session will cover an industry overview – types of employers, statistics about the industry and law school, trends and drivers (still pending, however, could include Legal Tech start-ups, New Law Firms, Predictive Analytics, etc.)
