Over 100 years since women were granted the right to vote and 50 years after the feminist uprising of the 1970’s, sexism still runs through our everyday lives. From ongoing transphobia and homophobia to the recent resurgence in virulent and violent forms of public misogyny, sexism is both more visible and somehow more subtle than ever. We will discuss where and how sexism and gender discrimination surface, and how they operate today in our classrooms, workplaces, homes, and communities.
