It’s time once again for the library’s summer coffeehouse series! Coffeehouses provide an opportunity to learn about resources and services available to support your work or leisure interests.
For each session, we’ll gather on the first floor of the library and start promptly at 10 a.m. and finish around 10:50 a.m. Refreshments will be provided. All members of the Lawrence community are welcome to attend!
June 26 — Milwaukee-Downer Past & Present: Reflection on 60 Years after the Consolidation (rescheduled from June 19)
Join Claire, University Archivist, to reflect on the past and present of Milwaukee-Downer College 60 years after the consolidation, with special emphasis on the presence of Milwaukee-Downer on the LU campus.
July 10 — Summer Reads
The ever-popular Summer Reading coffeehouse returns! Planning your beach reading? Got your own summer reading underway? Come and hear about favorite reads from library staff and whoever else shows up. It could—and should—be you!
July 31 — A Plethora of Possibilities: Applications of AI
In this session, we’d like to focus on some of the positive ways that AI can be used in education and also look into ways that AI can be a helpful tool beyond academic contexts. Come share your ideas and practices, and hear about some new ones!
