Dreaming in Color: Visions of Indigenous Futurism Exhibit

Wednesday, Nov. 20 | 5-7 p.m.
Warch 320 – Gallery

The Dreaming in Color: Visions of Indigenous Futurism exhibit explores the topic of Indigenous Futurism as a concept of hope and reparations and decolonization. This showcase displays the works of Adrienne Keene, Marika Wilbur, Skawennati, and many other native activists and artists.

Using media and talks from various artists, we explore: what is indigenous futurism? What does this look like? Is this an “achievable” concept? The combination of embracing cultural heritage, challenging systemic oppression, and promoting healing is embodied through this collection of multimedia art, poetry, articles, movies, videos, and more.
