Safety Consultant

We are partnering with Susen Trail, a Safety Consultant, to help us identify areas of risk and put programs in place to mitigate that risk. Susen is a Certified Industrial Hygienist who has worked in occupational safety since obtaining her Masters degree from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health in 1997. Susen bring many years of experience with OSHA Consultation in Colorado and public sector safety and health standard enforcement with Wisconsin’s Department of Commerce/Department of Safety and Professional Services to work as a Safety Consultant with you at Lawrence University.

Before Susen attended the University of Michigan she worked as a molecular biologist research assistant at Michigan State University and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis MO. Susen feels to be a good industrial hygienist you need to be curious about everything and have a good imagination which will foster the ability to find the most effective and useful ways to help create the safest workplace possible. Her goal is to help Lawrence improve and maintain our safety programs.

Susen will be on campus 20 hours a week. Her desk is located on the first floor of Brokaw Hall. If you have a safety question or concern, feel free to reach Susen at 832-6729 or susen.e.trail@lawrence.edu, thank you!
