Spring is a natural time of renewal where things begin to emerge from places that have been fallow. Where growth is encouraged, there is also a need for tending to that growth.

Join us at the Center for Spiritual and Religious Life to assemble your personal centering kit. Through objects or actions you can begin to select a path to reconnect with your center, the place from which you draw empathy, courage, strength, and love that then becomes joy in the world.

Allow yourself to experience silence, chant and prayer through Taize’. This will be the first of four services held at and around Lawrence during the Spring term. All are welcome.

In commemoration of the lives lost in the recent massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand, there will be a service held at the Lawrence Appleton campus to encourage and allow for a shared grief space. This service is open to the Lawrence community.

This is the time of year when we begin to anticipate new life. Both in nature’s cycle and in our own lives. Anticipation motivates us to step out of our comfort zones and to dream about a different future.

Please join us and share your anticipation at Lawrence or in your larger life.

We invite Lawrence friends and faculty to come share their stories at this months Friday Lunch. Soup & Salad will be provided.

The Food Pantry will have extended hours during break. Beginning Thursday, March 14, the pantry will be open each weekday until 5pm. Regular Tuesday/Wednesday hours will resume in week 1 of Spring term.

Candles, scripture, song and chant make up the liturgy of this ecumenical service. Taize’ this week is held at All Saints Episcopal Church. Service begins at 5pm.

As the available daylight increases with each day heading toward spring, let the light of the candles and the spirit of the song further prepare you for what’s to come.
