Deep Listening – November 8th
Encourage your own collaborative creativity and that of those you encounter by experiencing and encouraging deep listening practices. Deep Listening is a way of hearing in which we are fully present with what is happening in the moment without trying to control it or judge it. This will be the last option of the Fall term for this unique experience with Brian Pertl. November 8th at 12pm – Center for Spiritual and Religious Life.

Taize’ Worship and Contemplation – Thursday, November 9th at Center for SRL
For a healthy and contemplative approach in these last few weeks of term, come to the Center for Spiritual and Religious Life at 7pm on Thursday, November 9th. Join in a Christian based ecumenical service that has both quiet and powerful components to worship. There will be the quiet of candlelight, songs, and inspirational prayer.

Bridging the Ideological Divide – Last 2 Sessions!
Nurtured in the concept of conflict resolution is the idea that effective dialogue is our first measure of understanding. There are just a few more opportunities for students, staff and faculty to attend the on campus facilitated dialogues that will help us to identify through each other’s stories some useful approaches to that communication as a first step in bridging an ideological divide.

Spiritual Lives at Lawrence – Share Your Story

There are still times available for this term on October 30th and November 9th to spend 30 minutes sharing your current spiritual journey, or the one you experienced before, during, or after Lawrence.

Candlelit service, songs, silence and prayer – Taize’

At 7pm on Sunday, October 29th at All Saints Episcopal, join in a Christian based ecumenical service that has both quiet and powerful components to worship.

All Saints is located at 100 North drew Street in Appleton.

Intersections – Monday, October 23rd, 7pm at the Center for SRL. Join in a mindful practice for this unique Intersections Series: Listen with the Ears of Your Heart. Open to Students, Staff and Faculty. Intersections are an opportunity to explore the spaces where our spiritual lives and work/study/activities intersect. October 23 is the second of three sessions. The third session will be on October 30.

Voices of Hope -Friday, October 27th, 7pm at First Congregational UCC. This is a dramatic reading of immigrant stories for the community to share in. The Center for SRL is partnering with First Congregational Church to help promote this important series. Please join in the experience.
