INx: Internship Information Exchange – Next Thursday, February 15

Career Services is hosting a networking event for students to connect with employers and peers for internship opportunities! See which employers and students are coming by visiting the Facebook Event! Guest speakers include Terry Franke ’68 from Productive Strategies and Scott Myers ’79  recently retired from Accenture. Staff and faculty are welcome to join as we celebrate the success of past interns and support students in searching for internships.

Workforce Career Fair Orientation*: Those who have registered to attend the Workforce Career Fair are required to attend this orientation to learn fundamental networking skills before you engage with nearly 200 employers who will be attending the fair Tuesday, February 20. Those who are still interested in attending can register on LUworks before February 12 and follow the steps to confirm your place.

Third Annual Shadow Silicon Valley

David Eddy ’81 and Chiao-Yu Tuan ’14 have graciously offered to provide an insider’s view into the ecosystem of Silicon Valley, taking place this year during spring break.  Visits will include Facebook, Google and Airbnb among other networking stops and events. The application process consists of a resume and cover letter being emailed to Amanda Netzel, Assistant Director of Career Services, by Monday, February 19 at 5 p.m.

Identity and Career Exploration with Tamara Raymond ’02

The Diversity Center and Career Services bring you this presentation aimed to kick-off Black History month with Tamara, President and Founder of Innovative Consulting & Management Services. Tamara graduated from Lawrence with a major in psychology and a minor in international relations.  Join us to learn how her foundation at Lawrence has helped her post undergraduate career path as a woman of color.
