Service Opportunity – Nonprofit Leadership Initiative (NPLI)

The Fox Valley community is lucky to have employers such as Lawrence University who are committed to finding ways to giving back to the places they operate. Nonprofit Leadership Initiative (NPLI) offers a way to discover how individuals can give back, as well as enhance their own critical thinking and communication skills by serving nonprofit organizations. By attending Board Connect, individuals experience their community differently as they learn about the work of the nonprofits and the committee, task-forces and board positions required to help meet the nonprofit’s mission.   
 

November 14, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Board Connect Event - You are invited to network with nonprofits at Nonprofit Leadership Initiatives Board Connect Event . Board Connect events are free, fun, social events with complimentary food and drink, for you to learn about local nonprofits and explore leadership level volunteer opportunities.

By connecting with a nonprofit you have an opportunity to pursue a passion outside of work, while at the same time enhancing skill sets that directly translates to your career.

Just a reminder that all staff employees are asked to submit a Supervisor Evaluation Form by October 31.  Results will be collected and provided to the supervisor’s manager in a confidential format that does not include the submitter’s name. If you would like to complete a written version of the Supervisor Evaluation in place of the Webform; it can be found here. Please return the completed evaluation to Human Resources.

Open Enrollment Benefits Fair – Save the Date!

Save the date for the upcoming insurance Open Enrollment Benefits Fair in the Warch Campus Center – Somerset Room on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm.

This event will provide opportunities to meet with University’s benefit providers, obtaining benefit enrollment forms and the updated benefit guide, and connecting with members of the Human Resources team about enrollment for the upcoming year.

The deadline to submit any open enrollment changes, additions, or drops to Human Resources is Monday, November 18, 2019 at 4:00 pm. 

If you do not wish to make changes to your current benefit elections, you do not need to submit open enrollment forms, with the exception of flexible spending. The flexible spending enrollment form must be completed if you want to participate in health and/or dependent care flexible spending in the 2020 plan year/calendar year.

Online Questionnaire will be available for completion after 5 business days from you PHA appointment.  The questionnaire must be completed to view your results and receive the premium discount.

Personalized Report

Once you complete the questionnaire, you will be able to access your personalized report. This report summarizes the findings of your PHA – both the biometrics (labs, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.) and the lifestyle habits that you reported. The comprehensive report will provide you with a summary of the results, as well as recommendations for improving your health.

Outreach

Lawrence University do offer optional telephonic health coaching and report delivery provided through ThedaCare.  Participating in a health coaching and report delivery session is not required to obtain the discounts for PHA participation, this is an optional service for those interested.  If you are still interested in a telephonic health coaching and report delivery session, please contact your HR Representative.
