Join us for a unique opportunity on Saturday, September 21, to engage with one of the nation’s foremost legal minds, Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor of Law, and Political Science at Yale University.
As the inaugural speaker in Lawrence University’s Campus Conversations series, “Engaging our Minds, Discussing our Differences,” Professor Amar will offer critical insights into today’s most pressing constitutional questions.
This dynamic series brings together top Constitutional and Legal Scholars and Civil Discourse experts. Discover how law, governance, and society intersect in ways that challenge and inspire, while reflecting Lawrence University’s commitment to intellectual engagement and the celebration of diverse perspectives.

Everyone’s favorite Thursday night programming is back! Every Thursday night, students are welcome to prepare and share a homecooked meal at the Spirit Space. Cooking begins at 4:30 p.m., and the meal ends around 7 p.m.
Come any time and stay as long as you like! Hang out with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy how food connects people.

Students who are US citizens or have dual citizenship and are 18 years or older are able to vote Tuesday, Nov. 5.
If you are interested in voting early, you can do so at City Hall, located at 100 N Appleton St. (6th Floor) before noon on Friday, Nov. 1. The campus shuttle service is available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (excluding Friday, which will end at 11:30 a.m.) to get to the polls. Please call 920-419-6793 for a ride.
Additionally, Helen Boyd Kramer will be walking students to early voting TODAY, Oct. 31. For anyone who would like to join, please meet in front of the library at 1 p.m. She is also available to accompany students to vote at other times upon request (helen.boyd@lawrence.edu). First-time voters are strongly encouraged to join!
On Election Day, a special shuttle van will run loops 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m., departing from the Wriston Turnaround for District 1 and 11 Polling Places. Please see the list below to find your Polling Place.
If you live in Lawrence University housing, your voting district will depend on your residency.
You must also have a valid Student Voter ID. This ID, plus the LU Certified Housing List, can serve as your Proof of Residence.
If you do not live in Lawrence University housing, you can use a current Wisconsin Driver’s License or ID Card with your Appleton address listed. This can be used as Proof of Residence.
