Current and future projects happening around Campus:

  • Mudd Library: Work will be ongoing

  • Plantz Hall: Hot water repair and disruption on Tuesday, December 17 for 6-8 hours starting at 7 a.m.

About Dr. Burden-Stelly

Dr. Charisse Burden-Stelly is a Black studies scholar and author focused on political theory, political economy, intellectual history, and political and historical sociology. She has given multiple talks regarding the life and legacy of MLK, including at Penn State University, Georgetown, and Western Carolina University.

Shuttle

The shuttle will run from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday with the exceptions listed on the calendar.

For rides to/from the airport, students must submit a request to 920-419-6793. Rides will be available to/from the Appleton or Green Bay airports.

Athletic Events

  • Basketball games will be held in Alex Gym.
  • Men’s hockey games will be at the Appleton Family Ice Center.
  • Women’s hockey games will be at the Champion Center.

Wellness Center Hours

  • Activities:
    • Monday-Thursday | 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
    • Friday | 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
    • Saturday | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
    • Sunday | Closed

Catered meals

Please review the menu from each restaurant to familiarize yourself with the type of food offered. Food will be ordered in large batches, served family style.

Lunches will take place from 12-1 p.m.

  • Monday, 12/16 – Sai Ram

Community Meals

Sign up for a community meal at Spiritual and Religious Life! You will be part of the preparation and cooking of this meal. Please sign up in advance to ensure we have enough food.

Dinners will take place from 4:30-7 p.m.

  • Thursday, 12/5 – Lemon Cream Gnocchi
  • Wednesday, 12/18 – Chili (meat and vegetarian)

The Student Food Pantry is available to any current student in immediate need or who does not have access to essential items.

Free December YMCA Membership for Employees

December is a great time to try the YMCA; Lawrence employees can enjoy a free membership Dec. 1-31.

Bring your LU ID to the Downtown YMCA and sign up. You can add dependents or spouses for just $12 each. Your membership is good at the Fox Valley area YMCAs.

Trivia LX Merch Contest

This year’s theme has been decided: Supermarket Trivia! With this comes the announcement of our merch contest. We will be taking your designs and putting them on our merch!

International {OPEN} House

All campus faculty and staff are invited to drop by International House Thursday, December 5 between 3-6 p.m. for a casual open house. We’re celebrating our newly remodeled kitchen and are looking forward to sharing with you everything the historic International House has to offer!

Come by, enjoy some time with friends and colleagues, learn more about the teams who work at I-House, and find out how you can reserve and use the space with your classes and teams to cook together, meet, or just hang out in our Tea Corner.
