Commemoration for Lives Lost in New Zealand

In commemoration of the lives lost in the recent massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand, there will be a service held at the Lawrence Appleton campus to encourage and allow for a shared grief space. This service is open to the Lawrence community.

Food Pantry – Open during break

The Food Pantry will have extended hours during break. Beginning Thursday, March 14, the pantry will be open each weekday until 5pm. Regular Tuesday/Wednesday hours will resume in week 1 of Spring term.

Taize’ this Sunday – Enjoy the light

Candles, scripture, song and chant make up the liturgy of this ecumenical service. Taize’ this week is held at All Saints Episcopal Church. Service begins at 5pm.

As the available daylight increases with each day heading toward spring, let the light of the candles and the spirit of the song further prepare you for what’s to come.

Grief Group

Thought the first scheduled gathering of the Grief Group co-led by Linda Morgan-Clement & Terra Winston was canceled due to the cold, this group continues to meet and welcomes anyone who may have suffered a recent loss.

LU Unplugged – Seize the Day!

Seize the day!  Plug into your experiences and the people around you in a more focused way.

Unplug from your phone for the day on Thursday, February 7th.

Drop off at Sabin house between 10:30 – 11:30 am.  –check in your phone, record your intention, and receive your LU Unplugged sticker.

Throughout the day, choose from the menu for options for engaging with yourself and others.

Dinner & Reflection – 5:30 – 6:30 is your time to share a meal (no charge to you) and reflect with others on being plugged into the experiences of the day.  At the end of our shared meal time, you will reclaim your phone using your LU ID.
