About the New Website

A rebuild of the www.lawrence.edu website has been underway for 2.5 years and Lawrence staff from the ITS and Communications offices have dedicated themselves to designing, building, writing, and creating this new website.

Goals for the project include:

  • Encourage prospective students to apply and enroll.
  • Encourage alumni, parents, and friends to support Lawrence.
  • Make daily operations for faculty, staff and current students easier.
  • Inform the local community about operations and events.
  • Inform and delight prospective employees.

Due to pandemic delays, the website will be launched in two phases. Phase one will launch in March 2022 and will include major sections of the site that serve external audiences such as prospective students and families, alumni, and community members. Phase one will also include the introduction of MyLU, a customizable landing page for students, faculty, and staff with quick links to many of the pages and forms we need on a regular basis.

Phase two will include several offices and services such as the Registrar, the Office of Residential Education & Housing, International Student Services, etc. that will be moved over to the new site in the coming months. Until those sections of the site are built on the new site, they will be accessible via the current website.

For the last few months, the new website has been under review by staff, faculty, and a selection of current students to ensure it’s ready for launch. Much of the collected feedback has been implemented and we will continue to implement feedback even after the site is launched.

Learn more about the new website and get answers to your questions by attending one of the two presentations next Tuesday!
