Tony Evers (D) has recently called for Wisconsin residents to have a “meaningful conversation about treating marijuana much like we do alcohol.” In terms of policy changes, there appears to be more bipartisan agreement for legalizing medical marijuana rather than recreational legalization in Wisconsin. Advocates highlight the economic benefits, while critics see a high potential for abuse and cite safety concerns.
