WE-energies is having a power outage to upgrade wiring Saturday April 22nd from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

It will include all of the houses on the block between Park Ave. on the west, Union St. on the east, Washington St. on the south, and Franklin Street on the north.

The addresses affected are: 228, 224, 216, and 210 Park Ave. and 203, 209, 217, and 221 N. Union St.

Please contact facility services with any concerns. Thank you.

Main Hall Flag Pole

The rigging for the flag pole above Main Hall was damaged in the high winds of a couple of weeks ago. It is a complicated repair process given the fact that the pulley for the line is mounted atop a pole that stands 17 feet above the roof of the cupola! Facility Services is aware of the issue and is working on a solution. The flag will be back up as soon as repairs are completed.

Library Plaza CLOSED

Effective March 23, 2017 the plaza between Mudd Library and Wriston Art Center will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.  Art students may access Wriston at the ramp on the north east end of the building. The shuttle will continue to operate as normal.

There is absolutely NO parking in the Wriston turn around.  This area is reserved for the Fire Department.  You will be ticketed and towed at your expense for parking in this area.

Thank you for your cooperation.  The project completion date is May 31.

Update: Brown recluse spiders

You might recall this past summer we dealt with brown recluse spiders at the facilities building. We treated the problem and did not see any further signs of the spiders. With the warmer weather, what appears to be brown recluse spiders have been seen at the facilities building. We are once again treating them. If you see anything that you are concerned about, please contact facility services at ext. 6602. Thank you.

Construction near library

You may have noticed the parking areas by Mudd Library have been blocked off this week to make room for two cranes to work on the library chiller project. One crane has been set up at the west end of the area by the fountain, while the other has been on the Lawe Street side of the library. There should be enough room to carefully turn around in the south entrance.

If you have any questions or need more information, please contact the facility services office at 920-832-6602.
