Snow Creation Contest in the Quad!

Pull on your gloves, button up your parkas, and head to the Quad on Friday to participate in a LUgge Snow Creation Contest!

Hot chocolate and supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own building materials! Participants will receive a FREE LUgge Beanie (as supplies last).

Everyone has a different style of learning, working, and communicating, and one style is not necessarily better than another – just different. In this session, participants will discover; their personal learning/communication style, how their own style affects learning and communication for everyone in the workplace, how understanding and considering the learning and communication styles of others can prevent tension, misunderstanding and stress in the workplace, and how to maximize your own personal style.

Parenting your Teen: Managing Conflict and Problem Solving– April 12, 2023, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Conflict between parents and teenagers is a fact of life. In this seminar, parents explore ways to help their teenagers resolve conflicts and establish guidelines for acceptable behavior. The goal is for your teen to become a mature young adult who is capable of making good decisions independently, so they can manage their life in appropriate, autonomous ways.

A Balancing Act for the Work and Personal Life Seesaw – May 10, 2023, 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Learn to prioritize competing demands, communicate effectively, and view the glass as “half full” in this interactive session.

Healthy Living: Navigate Life’s Transitions – June 14, 2023, 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Changes in our personal and professional lives often occur around major life transitions, such as moving, marriage, death, and divorce. We all need strategies to make these transitions easier and that is exactly what we will cover in this session.

We all worry at times, but if you constantly stress over everything in your life, you may be developing a chronic worry habit that can lead to physical and mental health difficulties including stress-related illnesses, generalized anxiety disorder and depression. In this session we will assist you in analyzing the root cause of worry, and strategies to break the cycle of worry.

Bouncing Back From Stress

Has there ever been a time with more trauma, stress, and burnout? Through activities, discussion, and reflection, this 1-hour training will help you understand the impact of trauma and stress, recognize your personal stressors, and practice new ways to work through this challenging time.

Cost: $25 per person

About the presenter: Tamara Plath is a Licensed Professional Counselor with ThedaCare’s Employee Assistance Program. She has over 10 years of Behavioral Health experience. Her professional background includes mental health counseling, domestic violence and sexual assault prevention, group facilitation, and education/training on subjects such as communication diversity, conflict management, harassment and other compliance & wellness topics.

PULSE Young Professionals is a local program administered through the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce that is centered around young professionals under the age of 40 who work in the Fox Cities. The program’s purpose is to build a network of young professionals who are capable of connecting, inspiring, and leading community members and businesses within the Fox Cities. PULSE provides opportunities for young professionals to build upon their skill sets through leadership training, getting involved with local events through volunteering, and building a supportive community with one another.
