Facilities Notice: Stakes

It’s that time of year—tents, inflatables, and outdoor fun are back!

For everyone’s safety, please DO NOT drive stakes into the ground without first contacting Facilities to request utility locates. Our campus has a complex network of underground power lines, data cables, and plumbing. Striking one of these could lead to power outages, data loss, or even dangerous situations like electrical shock or sewage backups.

To avoid serious damage or injury, submit a work order to Facilities before setting up anything that requires staking.

And remember: if you see a flag, that means “NO”—stakes cannot be placed in that area.

Thank you for helping keep our campus safe!
