Wellness Fair 10/18

Join us at the annual Lawrence University Wellness Fair.  The Wellness Fair will be made up of exhibitors offering resources to encourage our campus to make healthy choices and enrich all aspects of our lives.  Flu shots will be available onsite at the Wellness Fair!

LSB Alumni Mentoring Program and Award due this Friday!

Lawrence Scholars in Business (LSB) Alumni Mentoring Program and Award
Calling all sophomores and juniors! Lawrence has the resources you need to help you secure cutting edge internships.

The new Lawrence Scholars in Business (LSB) Alumni Mentoring Program is offering support in preparing for and finding top business internship opportunities.

Fifteen students will be selected to receive training in a variety of aspects of business and support from a group of well-established alumni mentors in applying for internships.  Additionally, 1-3 candidates will receive funding AND mentoring to support their summer internships. This unique program integrates education and mentoring in business, interviewing and networking skills and support in finding internship opportunities.  For a full list and bios of alumni participants, please click here.

PHA Next Steps: Questionnaire and Results

Those who participated in the personal health assessment, employees and spouses/domestic partners, need to complete the questionnaire 5 days after your screening.

Once you have completed the questionnaire, you will have access to your report immediately. We encourage you and your spouse/domestic partner to set up individual appointments with Laurie Ehlers, RN Educator (ext. 7498 or laurie.ehlers@lawrence.edu) to read and discuss your results. Laurie can also help create an action plan if you would like to see improvements in certain areas.  It is also recommended to take your report to your next regularly scheduled visit with your primary care physician to discuss.

Directions to Complete the Questionnaire:

1. Go to www.thedacarepha.net
2. Click Start Your Online Questionnaire, located in the yellow box.
3. Enter your Access code: hbv4mdcv
4. Enter the required account information. Click Proceed to Registration. Please use your legal first and last name.
5. Enter the required information:

First Time User – Enter email address and create login and password.

or

Repeat User – Enter your email (if entered previously) and the login information will auto populate. Enter a New Password and confirm password.

6. Click Sign up.
7. Choose the most current lab date and click Go.
8. Click Begin your Questionnaire. Complete all questions and click Submit Questionnaire and View Results.
9. From the main menu, click Online Report or Printable Report to view your Personal Health Assessment individual report.

Concordia University Wisconsin, School of Pharmacy On Campus October 10, 2017

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation

Students interested in a research career in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering are invited to apply to the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellecnce in Education Foundation.
The scholarship award covers eligible expenses up to a maximum of $7,500 per year.  Scholarship recipients nominated as sophomores can expect to receive a maximum of two years of support. Scholarship recipients nominated as juniors are eligible for a maximum of one year of support.
To be eligible, a student must be a current full-time sophomore or junior, who has one or two years of full-time undergraduate study left while pursuing a baccalaureate degree, have a B average or equivalent, and be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. national, who will pursue a research career in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering.
Interested sophomores and juniors should contact:  Kia Thao, Memorial Hall, room 109, by November 17, 2017.
