Conquer the Holidays, One Bite at a Time
Explore emotional eating and how we can choose and eat more mindfully while still enjoying the essence of the holiday season.

Take a break from your day, gather together and have fun socializing over music, food and beverages. We want to take this time to relax and reflect on the accomplishments of each team member over the past year; such great work has been done. REMINDER to submit your submission for the President’s Award of Excellence. The award recognizes staff members who continually go above and beyond for the betterment of Lawrence.
You may nominate a staff member from your own department or another department by Nov. 17 (note new due date). Nomination forms are available on the PAE page and must accompany a one- to three-page, typed testimonial describing how the employee encompasses the award criteria.

Join the WELLU Holiday Trio Challenge: Maintain, Don’t Gain

A last-minute D-Term internship has opened up in Chicago with consulting firm Productive Strategies. You will work closely with consultants on a wide variety of clients and prospects. You will also assist with managing databases, conducting research, writing proposals and client reports, and attending prospect and client meetings. You’ll get the “inside view” of how business is done!
Juniors and seniors who have an interest in business should apply for this internship. Dependable access to a vehicle is required.

As we have in the past, Lawrence has arranged for motor coach shuttle service back to campus after winter break. The Office of Student Affairs will subsidize the cost of the motor coach bus to make the trip affordable to all students.

COST: $20
Space is limited and students must sign up in advance—seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please plan to arrive the departure location 15 minutes early to make sure the motor coach will leave at the scheduled time. Look for a large Lamers motor coach (usually painted white and red).
To sign up, stop by Raymond House between the hours of 8 a.m.–noon or 1–5 p.m. Monday through Friday to pay the $20 (cash or check) and reserve your seat.
