Work and Study at the Newberry Library in Chicago Fall 2021

Students interested in participating in the Newberry Library Research in the Humanities off-campus program next fall have the opportunity to learn more about the program through a virtual info session on Friday, December 11, from 2-3 p.m. Central Time. The session titled Explore the Newberry Library with ACM is hosted by Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) and is accessible via Zoom.

Friday’s session will feature an overview of the Fall 2021 seminar topic The Politics of Performance, as well as discuss part-time internship opportunities, highlight program alumni experiences, and explore the Newberry Library in depth, taking a look at its collections and exhibitions. To register and get log-in details, click the registration link.

Lawrence University’s Newberry Library Off-Campus Program is open to juniors and seniors interested in conducting research in the humanities. Participants on the program live in Chicago for the semester, earning 16 semester credits while enrolled in the featured seminar and working on an independent research project. Internship opportunities are also available.

Not planning to study off-campus in Fall 2021? Potential future participants, as well as faculty interested in Visiting Faculty Director positions, are encouraged to attend.
