As is tradition, we will be clearing out the kegs from the VR on the Wednesday following reunion (June 23rd). Please join us in the Viking Room 4-6 PM for complimentary beverages. No need to bring money except maybe to give Angela a tip for working behind the bar. Please enter through the Viking Room patio on the south side of Memorial Hall.

Senior Picnic Friday

The Senior Class Leadership Team invites the entire senior class to a class picnic THIS Friday on the Main Hall Green from 5-7 p.m. Burgers, chickpea burgers, brats, vegan brats, potato salad, vegan salad, chips, and fresh watermelon will be served.

Senior Letters

Do you recall writing yourself a letter at the class dinner during your Welcome Week? We saved them and they are being put in your SPC. Please stop in Warch and pick yours up. For those graduates not on or returning to campus, we will mail them to your home address next week.

Meals for Seniors through Commencement

Meals for graduating seniors will be served in Andrew Commons:

Thursday 6/10: brunch (10:30-12:30) and dinner (5pm-7pm)
Friday 6/11: brunch (10:30-12:30) and picnic on the green ( 5pm-7pm ) (Seniors only)
Saturday 6/12: brunch (10:30-12:30) and dinner( 5pm-7pm)
Sunday 6/13: continental breakfast (8am-9am)

All meals are complimentary for graduating seniors.

There is no meal plan for undergrads after dinner on Wednesday June 9th.

Non-senior Lawrence students may pay at the door (Viking Gold or credit/debit card) for all meals EXCEPT the Senior picnic.

Kaplan’s Cafe Goes Virtual

In order to complete a myriad of renovations in the Warch Campus Center this summer and be 100% operational by September, the University has decided to close Kaplan’s Café beginning May 3, 2021. Renovation work in that space will commence that week. While we are losing the physical space temporarily, Bon Appetit has made arrangements to offer the full Café menu through the Boost App beginning Tuesday May 4th (11am-9pm seven days a week). Plus, the full menu will be available as a meal equivalency. Student orders will be picked up on first floor at the checker station in Andrew Commons.

Kate’s Corner store will expand its hours of operation and offerings. Beginning May 4th, the store will be open 8am-9pm Monday through Friday and 11am-9 pm on weekends. Coffee drinks, ice cream novelties, express items and smoothies are among the items being added to the lineup.

Friday night Comedy LIVE

SOUP invites you to the comedy of Kiry Shabazz, LIVE in Mead Witter (2nd floor Warch) or on SOUP’s Instagram Live (@Lawrencesoup) this Friday night at 7 PM. Fresh off his television debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and stand-up taping with Comedy Central. Kiry’s comedic trajectory is showing no signs of slowing down! Kiry Shabazz is a stand-up from Cleveland, now based in LA.

“Knives Out” (movie) in the Chapel

Mid-term reading period movie: “Knives Out” will be showing in the Chapel Saturday, February 13th at 7 & 9:30 PM (two showings). When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate.

S.O.U.P. has teamed up with SOL studios to bring LU talent to the stage in Warch. Friday, January 30th at 7 PM is “Open Mic Night!” in the Mead Witter Room (2nd floor Warch). Join us in person (seating is limited) or watch our Facebook Live Event @SOL STUDIOS.
