Hope to see you there.

The VR just got healthier

You can now drink your beer and have your vegetables too! SLUG and the VR are teaming up at summer “Happy Hour”, Wednesdays 4-6 PM. SLUG produce will be for sale on the patio and with the VR special summer prices (most beverages $2) you’ll have plenty left over to buy some healthy a delicious vegetables. Need an excuse to go to the VR, how about you are going to the campus produce stand instead!

Help us clear the taps

As is tradition, we will be clearing out the kegs from the VR on the Wednesday following reunion (June 23rd). Please join us in the Viking Room 4-6 PM for complimentary beverages. No need to bring money except maybe to give Angela a tip for working behind the bar. Please enter through the Viking Room patio on the south side of Memorial Hall.

Thank Yous and Acknowledgment

LUaroo resides and operates on Menominee land. Currently, plans for the Back Forty Mine project threaten the Menominee River, the origin of the Menominee Nation. Please visit noback40.org to find out how you can help.

LUaroo would like to thank: CODA, especially Allison and Adona, for their hard work and contributions; Avery and Ursa, for taking up the mantle; Louric and Luke for achieving the tech dream;“alumni” volunteers Gabe and Georgia; and the full crew: Imani, Yazmin, Melanie, and Dan. We also want to thank Greg Griffin for unending support; Sean Lorenzini and the mask crew; and Ridley and Spencer, as always.

Honoring President Burstein

The entire Lawrence University community is invited to celebrate President Mark Burstein on Saturday, May 15, from 2-5 p.m on the Main Hall Green

The day will start with the LU community cheering on Mark as he makes his LAST LAP around campus. The lap will end at the library plaza and be followed by good food and music. Social distancing protocols will be observed during the parade, food, and music event!

Those who cannot physically make it to the event, do have an option to purchase a cardboard cutout of yourself place along the route.

More information on the event can be found on the LUCC Facebook page.

The Lawrentian and LUCC are also looking to reprise the Ariel yearbook for a special 2013-2021 edition to celebrate President Burstein’s time on campus. We are seeking photos from the LU community for this unique gift.  f you have photos to contribute, please share them by emailing them to Lawrentian@lawrence.edu and LUCC@lawrence.edu.
