For Our Future WI: Orientation/ Volunteering Opportunity

Are you interested in public policy, issue advocacy, community organizing, and/or general civic engagement opportunities? If so, join For Our Future WI on October 27th, 2021 at 6PM via Zoom for one of our three virtual introductory events.

This event will take place in the Warch Campus Center-Hurvis Room 224. You can also watch this orientation remotely on your own device as well. Zoom link to come!


For Our Future 101 (FOF101) will allow you the opportunity to learn more about For Our Future WI in-depth from some of our Senior Organizers.

Our ThruTalk Training will teach interested individuals how to use the ThruTalk system to volunteer with For Our Future WI.

Our ThruText Training will likewise teach interested individuals how to use the ThruText system to volunteer with For Our Future WI.

All of these virtual events allow you the ability to connect directly with our Senior Organizers and learn how you can best get involved and take action.

Fall Term Backstage Pass

Join us off-campus on Friday, Oct. 8, 12:30 – 1:40 p.m. as leaders from the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center talk about their roles in the arts, how they got there, and ever-evolving industry trends! For this Fall session, take a peek BEHIND the curtain and learn about stage production and managing the many aspects of performances with Gerald Henley, Director of Theatrical Production and his team. We will also be joined by alum Kristi Ross-Clausen ’85, member of the IATSE Theater Union, and all around theater guru.

Shuttles will be leave the Con Drop Off and go to the PAC at 12:30 p.m. and head back to Lawrence when the program finishes at 1:40 p.m. The formal program will begin promptly at 12:45 p.m. If you are walking or providing your own transportation, please enter at the Valet Entrance and plan to arrive promptly at 12:40 p.m. A variety of sandwiches will be available for lunch. Memorial for Stephen McCardell this Saturday

Stephen McCardell’s life, music, and mentorship lives on even after his death in July of 2020. The Lawrence community invites you a musical celebration of his life and work on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 am.

The celebration will take place in Memorial Chapel with members of the Lawrence community invited to be part of the in-person celebration. ⁠Others and those who are not in Appleton are invited to join via a livestream Zoom link.
