Program Information

We have all heard about harassment—it’s in the news constantly.

What is it? Why does it happen? And can’t we all just respect each other?

Our action or inaction as leaders impacts our places of business and creates liability when it comes to workplace harassment. This training will teach managers and supervisors how to be proactive in creating an environment free from harassment and discrimination. It also covers how to handle complaints of harassment should they arise.

  • Cost: $25 per person to be invoiced or paid by credit card
    • If paying by credit card, payment will be applied upon registration.

Vendor Invoices and CERTIFY Credit Card Processing for June 30, 2024

Please be reminded of the following for our fiscal year end:

Please approve invoices for FY24 and have them to the Financial Services office now located at 1025 E South River by Friday, July 19

  • Any invoice received in our office after July 19 , will be entered into FY25.  If you are expecting an invoice that needs to be posted to FY24, but have not received it by the deadline of July 19, please contact Financial Services to work out a solution.
  • For invoices being processed near June 30, please clearly identify which fiscal year the invoice relates to as FY24 or FY25.
    • Generally, invoices should be recorded in the fiscal year for which the delivery of the product or service performed relates.
      • For example, if an invoice is dated June 25, 2024 but is for services that will be provided after July 1, the invoice should be posted to FY25.
      • Conversely, if the invoice has a date of July 5, 2024 but was for services provided on or prior to June 30, that invoice should be posted to FY24.
    • If there has been a consistent alternate posting method for a routine vendor invoice, please make note of this on the invoice.

CERTIFY reporting of LU CHASE PURCHASING CARD:

  • All FY24 expense reports should be created, reviewed and approved NO LATER than July 19.
    • If you are contacted by Financial Services regarding late reports, PLEASE comply with their requests to complete your outstanding CERTIFY reports for compliance with our annual outside audit.
  • If any down payments for product or services were made on an LU credit card, please contact Financial Services for proper coding.
  • CAUTION:  In CERTIFY, please review credit card purchases made near June 30 and only include purchases that should be entered into FY24 on your final June 15-June 30 expense report.
    • There may be transactions that were purchased prior to June 30; however, they may be posted with a July 2024 date in CERTIFY due to the banking industry processes.
    • If there is a July posted transaction that should be in FY24, you may include that transaction on your final June CERTIFY report.  You will have to modify your report date range to June 15- July 1 or as applicable.

Please contact Jennifer Leichtfuss X7205 or Amy Friedel X7164 with any questions.

New Policy – Employee Pets on Campus

In dedication to the health and well-being of all our faculty and staff, a new policy, the Employee Pets on Campus Policy, is being added to the employee handbook.

The policy provides clarity regarding where and when pets are permitted and the expectations of pet owners, and it helps ensure the comfort of our colleagues.

Under the new policy, only limited exceptions will be made to allow employees to bring their pet dogs into their office or any building on campus.

If you would like to request a policy exception to permit your pet to come to work with you, please review the policy and discuss your request with your supervisor.

If all conditions are met, a Bring Your Dog to Work Authorization and Release form must be submitted before bringing your pet to the office. Forms will be approved in limited circumstances based upon demonstrated need and frequency of requests. Approved releases will be maintained by Human Resources.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your supervisor, VP/Division Head, or Human Resources.

Last Chance – Personal Health Assessment (PHA) Appointments Still Available

Appointments are still available to complete your PHA.

Who is eligible to participate?

All staff and faculty are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the PHA process.  Participation is also encouraged for the following individuals covered under the Lawrence University medical plan: spouses/domestic partners of employees, retirees, and spouses/domestic partners of retirees.

Note for Medical Plan Participants

Participation by employees, retirees covered under the medical plan, and spouses/domestic partners covered under the medical plan will provide the discounts to the medical plan premium.  All participants must complete both the biometric screening and the know your numbers questionnaire to receive the premium discount. The questionnaire can be completed through Wellworks portal (ThedaCare’s new platform) while signing up for your biometric screening appointment.  Discounts are provided based upon participation and are not scoring, or results based.

ThedaCare will again utilize a finger stick blood collection as opposed to an arm draw. This process is less invasive and provides instant results.

If you or your spouse/domestic partner is pregnant or within 6 months post-partum during the time of the assessments, participation by the pregnant/post-partum individual will not be required to obtain the discounts on medical plan premiums. Human Resources must be notified if this is applicable to you or spouse/domestic partner by October 14, 2022.

How do I sign up?

Scheduling directions can be found in the attached Annual PHA Program and Logging into the Wellness Portal documents or click here to sign up: www.wellworksforyoulogin.com.
